The nearest mainline stations are Manchester Piccadilly or Manchester Victoria so you'll then have to get the Metrolink tram to Bury. The stadium is then a 10-15 minute walk.

Parking is extremely limited at the stadium so supporters are advised to park at Phoenix House car park opposite the stadium (BL9 9HN) which costs £5.

PUBS

The Bury FC Social Club is open to home and away supporters and has two bar areas or alternatively there are a number of pubs on Manchester Road that welcome away supporters.

The club's nickname is "The Shakers" which came about after their Chairman and Manager Mr Ingham attempted to inspire his players prior to their Lancashire Cup final in 1892 where they were deemed to be underdogs. He allegedly boasted: "We shall shake 'em! In fact, we are the Shakers". His words were popularised by the media and the club subsequently adopted the term as their official nickname.
