Newcastle Central train station is the closest to St James' Park and takes around 10-15 minutes to walk.
Car parking is available at Newcastle College (NE4 7SA) and costs £4 with a 15 minute walk to the stadium. Alternatively, you can utilise the Park & Ride at Gateshead Metrocentre (NE11 9YG) with bus ride costing £2.
St James' Park is located very close to the City Centre so the Wetherspoons Union Rooms on Westgate Road is decent.
Unfortunately Sam Jacks has now closed down where they used to get an away supporter up on stage to take the mickey and down drinks which although 'offended Britain' nowadays would disapprove, it wasn't half good entertainment!
